Who we are

The Copyright for AI Coalition, coordinated by the AI Chamber CEE, is a dedicated apolitical working group and action network established to secure, expand, and promote the Text and Data Mining (TDM) exceptions within the European Union's intellectual property framework, in the context of AI development.

Our mission is to ensure that European AI researchers and innovators have the legal clarity and support they need to compete globally, and for Europe to lead on AI and Science – the cycle of research breakthroughs translating into real-world applications. The Coalition focuses on expert networking, political advocacy, and legal support across key EU jurisdictions, with a focus on Brussels.

Members include both individuals (developers, academics, researchers, investors), institutions (research labs, universities), organisations (NGOs, business associations) and companies.

Anyone may join the Coalition by simply signing the Manifesto which sets out our goals and agenda.
